Let's get you set up.
Your Adesse is already set up — there's nothing to configure. What's left is a short handoff from your old phone, and then you're done. Nothing here is timed; do it at your own pace.
You're probably reading this on your old phone, or on a laptop — good, that's exactly where this page belongs. Keep it nearby while your Adesse walks through the same handful of questions on its own screen: Wi-Fi, your number, your Google sign-in. Follow whichever screen makes sense first.
Turn on your Adesse
Press and hold the power button until the screen wakes up. You'll see a short welcome — there's no setup wizard to click through, because we already did that part by hand, on your behalf, before it shipped.
From here your Adesse will ask a few of the same things this page covers: Wi-Fi, your number, your Google sign-in. Use whichever screen — this one or that one — gets you there first.

Wi-Fi
On your Adesse, connect to your home Wi-Fi the normal way — pick the network, enter the password.
No Wi-Fi handy right now? Use your old phone as a hotspot for a few minutes. It's a fine last favor for it to do before the eSIM step below takes over.

Your number
Find the small eSIM slip in the box and scan the QR code with your Adesse's camera when it asks. A brand-new number is usually ready quickly. If you're porting your existing number over, it can take a little longer — port-ins can take a few hours — and we'll email you when it's done.
One more thing, and it matters: while your number is still active on your old iPhone, turn iMessage off there — Settings → Messages → iMessage. If that old iPhone isn't in your hands anymore, Apple has a page for deregistering a number from iMessage; search "deregister iMessage" to find it.
Skip this and it fails silently: texts from your iPhone friends can quietly stop arriving once your number moves, with no error telling you why. Do this one before anything else on this page.

Sign in with Google — if you want it
Some apps — WhatsApp, Spotify, most banks — come from Google Play, and Google Play needs one sign-in. If you'll use apps like those, sign in on your new phone with the account you already use. It's plumbing, not a feed.
If you only want the tools already on the phone — calls, messages, maps, camera, music — you can skip this entirely. The phone is complete without a Google account, and you can always sign in later from the Store if you change your mind.

Do you use WhatsApp? There's no wrong answer here, and you can change your mind later — it stays available in the Adesse Store whenever you're ready for it.
Install WhatsApp from the Adesse Store. Before you tap Verify, bring your old phone over — that's the step that carries your chat history across.

Contacts
Your people should follow you over. How depends on where your contacts live now — and none of these needs a Google account, though signing in is the easiest path if you did.

The rest of your apps
Open the Adesse Store on your phone and search for whatever else you use — your bank, your car, your everyday tools. If you told us your bank ahead of time, it's already been tested and is waiting for you.
Most apps install in one tap; a few finish up in the standard app store. Either way, this part doesn't need this page — your phone walks you through it directly.
One more honest note: Adesse doesn't have a web browser. If a link or QR code ever needs the open web — a parking meter, a restaurant menu, a tracking link — your phone shows you the address plainly and helps you send it to yourself, so you can finish it on a computer.

Your login codes
Sometime this week — not necessarily today — move your two-factor login codes off your old phone. Start with your email and your bank; those matter most. Some services let you re-enroll in a minute or two; a few banks want a phone call or a branch visit, so give those the most lead time. Naming this now, before it becomes a locked-out afternoon, is the whole point.
Two small honest notes: an Apple Watch won't pair with Adesse — that's a real limit, not a bug. AirPods work fine, though; to any phone, they're just ordinary Bluetooth headphones.

Once these are true, your old phone has done its job and it's safe to let it rest. Check them off as you go — nothing here is timed, and nothing is sent anywhere.

When the boxes above are checked — or you've made peace with skipping one on purpose — power your old phone all the way off. Don't leave it charged and within reach on a shelf; that one habit quietly undoes the rest.
Close it out with a small ceremony: power it off, tape it shut in a drawer, and write the date on the tape. Open it only if you truly need something off it later. Off and out of reach is the point — a phone you'd have to un-tape is a phone you won't drift back to.
Write your two lines
Grab the day-one card from the box and a pen, or use the boxes below — same idea either way. Sentences shaped like this one measurably help you follow through: "When I ____, I'll ____." Fill it in twice, for two different moments you know will tempt you.
